KOREA - PHILIPPINES FREE TRADE AGREEMENT (FTA)- OFFICIAL SEALS OF THE CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN (co) ISSUING BODIES AND APPROVED EXPORTER VERIFICATION WEBSITE

CMC 27-2025, issued on February 3, 2025, by the Bureau of Customs, provides guidelines on the verification of Certificates of Origin (CO) under the Korea-Philippines Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

The circular aims to ensure that customs personnel are informed about the official seals of the CO issuing bodies and the designated website for verifying approved exporters. It also mandates relevant customs offices, including the Export Coordination Division and Port Operations Service, to work closely with Preferential Rate Units at various ports to facilitate smooth and accurate verification.

This initiative strengthens compliance with trade agreements and helps prevent fraudulent use of preferential tariff rates.
